Holler Skateboards
Local skateboarder Chris Contesso contacted us to do some buttons for his new art/skate project Holler Skateboards. He hand paints custom art on blank skateboard decks and sells them to collectors and friends to either skate or just hang on the wall.
Chris told us he planned on selling some of these in packs of three, and others with the sale of each deck or shirt.
If interested in having one made you can also contact them at their Facebook page.
We support D.I.Y. skateboarding.

Buster Bear Clothing...
About a month ago we got asked by local Chicago artist Alex Cohen, if we could make some buttons for the opening of his art show in the downtown loop area.
He drew a page of images and asked us to pick one, and that all we do is change the color of the BB logo. We took it a step further and made one of them pretty unique.
Alex goes by the name of Turbo for his artwork, and he makes a line of one-of-a-kind shirts each with a different image, called Buster Bear Clothing.

First Welcome...
Well, this is the first blog for Astrolab Studios, and let me just fill you in on just what it is. Astrolab first started as a music project which then became a studio for the music project and then expanded to use the name for other various art projects as well. Music, Art, Naps, Painting, 1" buttons, the studio has seen and been home to them all.
I hope you will enjoy the future posts.
